UK Trade & Investment: Doing Business in China: Overcoming Language and Culture Barriers

At this event delegates will receive information on how to do business with China, learn to use basic Chinese and will get a greater understanding of how to negotiate with the Chinese, all delivered by experts from within the London School of Economics and the Confucius Institute for Business Language.

This interactive one-day workshop, led by a market research specialist, will provide you with a full understanding of all the stages of the research process and give you a step-by-step guidance on how to develop your own market research projects in conjunction with your current export plans.

After this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the key criteria for selecting and prioritising export markets
  • Plan, undertake or commission and report on a market research project
  • Make effective use of the internet and other sources of desk research
  • Plan and undertake market research visits to your targeted export markets
  • Use market research to gain an in-depth understanding of potential customers and partners
  • Continue to make the most of available advice and support

You will be equipped to make more cost effective and confident decisions when planning and conducting export market research.
