Weir Training Ltd, based in Chobham, Surrey, have excelled once again. Ofsted converted their short inspection to a full inspection mid-May following display of areas of excellence during the first day. They went onto showcase their provision over a further three days.
Weir Training has achieved the ultimate accolade of being awarded “Outstanding” across all Common Inspection Framework areas for inspection.
Weir Training are the only provider in the country to achieve these grades, to date, this academic year according to current Ofsted data!
The company was inspected across the following 6 areas:
- Overall Effectiveness Grade 1
- Effectiveness of Leadership and Management Grade 1
- Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment Grade 1
- Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare Grade 1
- Outcomes for Learners Grade 1
- Apprenticeships Grade 1
The two Owner/Directors – Julie Ridley and Sarah Caines are very proud of this first-class result.

This dynamic company can now add Outstanding Ofsted grades to its Gold Investor in People, Matrix and Disability Confident Employer accreditations.
Weir Training is an approved, lead Independent Training Provider registered on the RoATP – Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. The company contracts with the Education, Skills Funding Agency – ESFA and is able to offer both Levy and Non-Levy Employers support with their Apprenticeship delivery requirements. Teaching, Learning and Assessment is predominately delivered in the workplace.
Weir Training offers a wide suite of qualifications including:
Business Administration, Customer Service, Retail, Hospitality, IT, Supply Chain Warehouse Operative, Team Leader/Supervisor and Management.
